Capturing you two in your element is MY biggest thrill. You bring the romance.
I'll bring the energy
Ridgecrest at The Stroudsmoor by Wedgewood Weddings is a ridgeline ceremony and reception venue on a 200-acre private mountain estate in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Couples marry at the edge of the ridge with miles of tree-lined mountain views behind them, then celebrate in a newly renovated reception room lined with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Elina and Luke had a wonderful time at Ridgecrest, one of several wedding venues spread across The Stroudsmoor’s mountaintop estate in Stroudsburg. If the name has thrown you lately, you’re not alone. Wedgewood Weddings acquired the property earlier this year, and what was Stroudsmoor Country Inn is now The Stroudsmoor by Wedgewood Weddings. Same estate, same Stroudsmoor name, new team behind it.
Ridgecrest is the one people talk about for the view. It overlooks the valley below, with a mountainous tree line that runs for miles. It’s absolutely incredible in the fall, but honestly a top contender year-round. Inside, the reception room is filled with tall floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside, the ceremony site literally has you getting married on the edge, with the whole view behind you.
Ridgecrest has been a fan favorite for years, but the common sentiment was always that it could use a little TLC to bring it up to date. That’s exactly what Wedgewood did. They put in a brand new arbor, completely redid the floors and the interior of the reception room, and introduced a new reception layout that makes the dance floor feel more connected to the space.
All in all, it’s a lot easier to shoot in. Even the small details matter. Taking the drapes off the chandeliers gave me a lot more flexibility shooting inside at night, whether I’m working with off-camera flash or flash right on top of the camera.
Technical jargon aside, Elina and Luke were so unbelievably sweet together. You could tell they were deeply in love and very excited to be married. After their first look, they decided to have a private vow reading at the ceremony site before guests arrived, and those photos are some of my favorites from the day.
We got some pretty cool dramatic portraits, too. It always blows my mind that we can get this in a matter of minutes. That’s the whole point: my couples should get to go actually enjoy their wedding day, not spend half of it shooting.
This was a multicultural wedding, and it certainly ripped on the dance floor. As a Puerto Rican, I can tell you the Latino families know how to rip it up and make for one heck of a good reception. Luke’s family is Irish, and you can’t deny the Irish know how to dance too!

Ridgecrest is one of the wedding venues at The Stroudsmoor by Wedgewood Weddings, a 200-acre private mountain estate in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, in Monroe County’s Pocono Mountains. Formerly Stroudsmoor Country Inn, the estate joined Wedgewood Weddings in 2026 and borders the Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
Fall is the showstopper at Ridgecrest, when the tree line below the ridge stretches for miles in full color. But it’s honestly a top contender year-round. The ceremony site puts the view right behind you, and the reception room’s floor-to-ceiling windows carry it indoors in any season.
Wedgewood gave Ridgecrest the refresh it needed: a brand new ceremony arbor, completely redone floors and reception interior, and a new layout that connects the dance floor to the room. They also removed the drapes from the chandeliers, which makes nighttime reception photography at Ridgecrest far more flexible.
Yes. Our couple did a first look, then read their vows privately at the Ridgecrest ceremony site before guests arrived, and those are some of my favorite images from the day. With the ridge behind you, dramatic portraits come together in minutes, so you get back to enjoying your wedding.
Look for someone who can work both the ridge and the room: the ceremony view in daylight, then confident flash once the Ridgecrest reception moves indoors at night. My approach is documentary, real moments over posing, and many couples book me for both their engagement session and wedding.
This day would have never come together the way it did for these two if it weren’t for the awesome team behind all the details! Here is a list of the vendors who took part of the day, and a link to their website if you want to go check them out!
