Lawnhaven is one of four wedding venues at The Stroudsmoor by Wedgewood Weddings, a 200-acre mountaintop estate in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, in Pennsylvaniaโ€™s Pocono Mountains. Its open-air circular ceremony lawn is ringed by evergreen gardens, with an all-weather pavilion for receptions. This national-park-themed wedding closed with night portraits under the stars.

A National Park Love Story at Lawnhaven

Jennifer and Matthew were such an amazing couple. They love national parks and traveling, and that showed up all through their day at Lawnhaven at Wedgewood Stroudsmoor. My wife and I eloped in Iceland, so I have a real soft spot for couples whose relationship is built around exploring together. These two are exactly that.

The day as a whole was an adventure of its own, which felt like the only fitting way for them to get married.

Subtle Adventure Details Throughout Wedgewood Stroudsmoor

What I loved about their details is how subtle they were. Nothing was overdone. The theme showed up quietly: in the pictures on the shelves, in the table settings, and in a national park sign with their names on it. Each one was a small reminder of how adventurous their love is, and spotting them throughout the day was part of the fun of documenting it.

Night Shots Under the Stars at The Stroudsmoor

Toward the end of the night, I took some of my favorite photos so far: their night shots, with the stars out over The Stroudsmoor. For two people who love national parks this much, ending the day under the stars felt right.
