I had a great time getting to celebrate Christina and Jamie’s Steel Club wedding! This spot in Hellertown has changed a lot over the years with new staff and a ton of renovations, and it is definitely a place I’m always looking to return to. The grounds are looking better than ever and it was the perfect backdrop for these two.

A Fresh Look at Steel Club

Steel Club is honestly beautiful in the spring and early summer. The greens are super vibrant and they’ve clearly put a lot of work into the property recently. One of the best parts about shooting here is that they give us a golf cart and free reign to find the best light. There are so many hidden spots on the grounds that most people don’t even see, which makes for a really diverse gallery!

3 Tips for Your Steel Club Wedding

Take the Golf Cart Adventure

Don’t be afraid to spend 20 minutes riding around the property! Since the staff is so accommodating with the carts, we can hit three or four different “looks”—from open fairways to wooded paths—in a very short amount of time. It is the best way to get those epic, wide-scale portraits.

Lean into the Early Summer Blooms

If you’re getting married in that May or June window, the landscaping here is top-tier. The gardens and the stone architecture of the club create a really high-end “country club” vibe that feels classic but not stuffy.

Plan for a “Sunset Dash”

Because of the way the club sits on the hill, the sunset views over the course are killer. I always recommend sneaking out for a quick 5-minute “sunset dash” right before the reception gets into full swing. The light hitting the rolling hills is something you just can’t skip!
