Bruce and Kait had a rad and beautiful fall wedding at The Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm! I actually got to know Kait through her work as a hair stylist for Makeup by Roxy, so it was an absolute honor to be the one behind the lens for her big day. From start to finish, this was one of those weddings that just felt like hanging out with friends.

Family Owned Vibes and Bold Style

The Barn at Gravers Tree Farm is seriously a hidden gem. It’s a gorgeous wooden barn, and because the staff is family-owned, they are unbelievably friendly and helpful. It makes the whole day feel laid back and personal. For this wedding specifically, I loved the style choices! The guys went with bold black attire that looked striking against the rustic wood of the barn. Kait was so fun to be around all day, and that energy really shows in the gallery!

3 Tips for Your Wedding at The Barn at Gravers Tree Farm

Utilize the Surrounding Foliage!

Since you’re on a literal tree farm, use it! The rows of trees provide these amazing leading lines for portraits that you won’t find at a standard golf course or hotel venue. Combine that with the gorgeous woods around the property, and it gives the photos a very fairly tale vibe!

Go Bold with Your Wedding Colors

As Bruce and Kait showed with their black and bold attire, don’t feel like you have to stick to “rustic” colors just because you’re in a barn. Darker, bolder tones look incredible against the warm wood of the Barn at Gravers and really make your portraits pop.

Lean into the “Family-Owned” Experience!

The staff here is top-tier. Because they care so much about the property, they are usually willing to help us get to the best spots on the farm for photos. Talk to them about your vision—they really go above and beyond to make sure the day runs smoothly.
