Barn Swallow Farm remains one of the absolute best wedding venues in the Lehigh Valley for many reasons. The family dynamic here leaves this venue feeling like a home away from home every single time. From the streamside ceremony space to the historic barn, everything you can think of is taken care of to make sure the day is stunning and perfect.

Olivia and Tyler’s wedding day was a great example of why this spot is so special. They are genuinely some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and were clearly so in love. Even when it started raining at night, we didn’t let it slow us down. It actually gave us the opportunity for some INCREDIBLE backlit night shots that ended up being some of my favorites from the entire day.

Shooting at the farm is all about capturing the unscripted energy of the day. I mean it when I say this family owned space genuinely feels like it’s your childhood back yard, and it provides a great canvas for so many moments to happen. Whether it’s the golden sunlight pouring over the ceremony or the high-energy dancing during the reception, there’s something really special about photographing weddings here. As a preferred vendor, it’s a privilege to work alongside people who care so much about the experience of their couples! For Olivia and Tyler, the day was filled with laughter and a few rain-soaked memories that made the gallery feel even more authentic.

Make Time for the Cocktail Hour Food

Roots Catering is the exclusive caterer here, and the food is genuinely to die for. Make it a priority to actually eat during your cocktail hour. Not only is it a great chance to fuel up for the party, but catching those candid moments of you two enjoying the food and hanging with your guests in the courtyard makes for great additions to the final gallery!

Chase the Farmhouse Sunset Glow

If the weather permits, head out toward the cornfields during golden hour. There is a specific farmhouse sunset glow that happens at that time, often bringing out pink skies and rich golden tones. It’s the perfect backdrop for a few quiet portraits that feel soft, organic, and full of character.

Be Present and Lean Into the Family Vibe

Since this is a family-owned farm, the energy is very grounded and welcoming. My best advice is to simply be present. Don’t let the logistics or the schedule take you out of the moment. Lean into the relaxed, family atmosphere of the property, enjoy your people, and don’t let the day slip away!
