Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden

Villanova is a popular spot for engagement photos, but a recent incredible addition to explore is Stoneleigh. The gardens are filled with so many beautiful types of foliage, flowers, architecture and sculptures! This 42 acre property in Villanova, PA is perfect for the couple who wants a session filled with nature, but also mix it up with some creative architecture! What used to be the Haas family home has been donated to Natural Lands so that it could be protected and last forever for people to enjoy. All of the plants are also native so there is restored ecological function to the landscape! Stoneleigh does require a permit fee to use this space for photography, but since this session I have applied to be a Natural Lands photographer so all future sessions have the permit fee waived!

Engagement Session

I would have never discovered Stoneleigh if it wasn’t for Maia and Kenny! They scoped the gardens out prior to our session and fell in love with it – for good reason! We spent the time in our session walking in the loop path they have throughout the gardens, stopping off whenever we found some good light or a neat spot. We had a great time laughing it up and making some magic. These two are so beautiful together, and I just love the way they interact with one another. They said they’re awkward in front of the camera, but I genuinely can’t tell! Scroll through and see their session, it has me dying to come back here again! I can’t wait until their wedding day!
