Christina and Mike had the sweetest wedding day at Monterre Vineyards! This is hands down one of my favorite venues in the whole Lehigh Valley. These two had a gorgeous setup for their ceremony and just totally ROCKED their portraits all day long. Their gallery turned out so good and it is definitely one I look back on fondly!

The Marshall Scott Take: A Wintery Venue Built by a Pro

I love Monterre for a few reasons but here is a fun fact for you. The owner was actually a high profile photographer himself! He worked with huge brands like the Eagles and American Airlines and even shot celebrities. It is a crazy life story if you ever get the chance to ask him about it.

Because of that background the way they handle things at Monterre is just wonderful. The family even founded the catering company too! Honestly it is the best food I have ever had at a local wedding and it makes the whole day so easy. Everything from getting ready in those gorgeous suites to the ceremony under that massive oak tree is just perfect. It is the best spot for those medium sized weddings where you want to invite your people but don’t want it to feel stuffy or so big that you can’t actually mingle with everyone.

Iconic Night Shots at Monterre Vineyards

One thing I always try to do at Monterre is get a night shot under the big tree with the hanging lanterns and string lights. Those photos are always a massive hit! You can see them in the gallery here and they really capture that “magic” feeling that Monterre has once the sun goes down.

Go as Heavy as You’d Like on the Portraits!

There are so many nature filled spots here that are perfect for portraits and family photos. Since the owner gets photography he has made sure the grounds are actually photo friendly. Take the time to explore a bit because every corner of the vineyard has a different vibe!

Get Excited for Your Catering!

I am serious when I say the food is incredible. Since it’ss family run they really put a lot of heart into the catering. Your guests are going to be talking about the meal for a long time so definitely make that a highlight of your day!

Plan for the Lanterns

Make sure you build five or ten minutes into your reception timeline to step outside for those night photos under the oak tree. The hanging lanterns and string lights create a look you just can’t get anywhere else and it is the perfect way to cap off your wedding gallery!
