Capturing you two in your element is MY biggest thrill. You bring the romance.
I'll bring the energy
We know you’ve thought about it, and so have we. (Maybe not that last one). From our experience, here are the top things you should have in your wedding emergency kit to ease some of your most common worries! This wedding emergency kit should cover just about everything shy of a zombie apocalypse. (Stay tuned for our next guide)
The number one feared event: Rain. Trust us, it does NOT have to ruin your day! In fact as photographers we LOVE a good rain shot, and these oversized clear umbrellas will have you vibing with the showers. They make any photo look classy and most importantly, they keep you dry.
Boost that immune system! Get some vitamin C flowing the weeks leading up to the wedding day for preventative measures. We like this one for the probiotics. Let’s be real here, nobody wants to have the sh*ts on their wedding day.
Yeah that would suck wouldn’t it? Well, It’s a good thing it pretty much never happens. But just in case, it doesn’t hurt to have a few of these in your bag. If something doesn’t feel quite right, these will do the trick in a pinch (or a poke).
Nervous about your first look? This is more of a “when” not an “if” but that’s totally normal and everyone goes through it. They’re good nerves! And if they get a little too overwhelming, a little scent of lavender goes a long way. I swear, it’s calm in a bottle. *SNIFF*
Do we need to explain this one?
Not going to lie, it’s nearly impossible to end your day with a pristine dress. In our eyes, a well worn wedding dress is a sign of a bride who was in the moment and present on her wedding day! Even still, in those accidental mimosa spills and random stains one of these is a no brainer.
BONUS TIP – If a stain doesn’t come out, white chalk will also cover it up in a pinch!
Knife wound? This probably isn’t going help much. Pin pricks or blisters? A little more relevant. 😉
Best way to treat a blister? Prevent it! These sticks actually work. I don’t know how, but they do.
If you’re a crier, you might want to get some eye drops to replace all those tears. It’s may not be the worst of problems, but it’s one less thing to worry about!
But seriously, don’t forget about pain killers for cramps or sudden headaches!
Friends don’t let friends with stray spinach in their teeth get their picture taken.
An allergy attack can truly suck the life out of you. It’s happened to me, it’s likely happened to you. Avoid the need to blow your nose every 5 seconds, just take an antihistamine!
Well then make sure you have backups! You don’t want to spend time on your hands and knees searching for a missing one. If you also manage to lose these, pencil erasers will work on the fly!
Whether it’s for the first kiss or just talking to guests, make sure that breath is on point. Altoids are damn strong, I guess that’s kind of the point, isn’t it?
Whether you have oily skin or it’s just hot as the sun outside, these are a must have!
Constantly fighting a static cling is a one way ticket to frustration. These can fit in your bridesmaids’ purses!
You already know one of your bridesmaids are going to end up at the ceremony realizing they forgot it.
No? Let’s keep it that way.
Among other things (*Cough* water), this is a big one. You’ll be extremely busy and most likely forget to eat for a lot of the day, make sure you snack during your down time!
We love this water bottle not only because it’s 10 bucks, but because it has a straw! Don’t ruin your makeup during all the getting ready stages of the day.
Sippin on mimosas in the morning with all your bridesmaids, you’re going to want some straws to keep the lipstick pristine. We love these because they’re reusable! Go Earth!
Write ‘em down! It looks way better than a phone, too!
Not anymore you don’t.
Make sure you have a sewing kit! They’re 5 bucks and chances are someone around you knows how to fix it with the right tools!
You’re crying, mom and dad are crying, bridesmaids are crying. Tears, everywhere. These are a no brainer.
I’ve seen it first hand, non stop swatting of gnats and bugs if you’re outside. You definitely want bug spray, but not the kind that’s going to leave you a human citronella candle. Go for the all natural stuff.
You already know you need it. So many uses, just make sure someone in your party has it!
Well, there you have it! You should now be prepared for anything from rips, tears and aliens. Hope you found this helpful! Let us know your wedding day essentials, and we’ll expand the list!
