Capturing you two in your element is MY biggest thrill. You bring the romance.
I'll bring the energy
Michaela and Dylan’s day at Historic Aldie Mansion was a masterclass in why I love shooting at historic estates. This place is built for the rugged romantics who want their wedding day to feel like it’s being whispered from the pages of an old book. There’s a specific kind of Grit and Soul here that you just can’t find in a modern ballroom.
I’ve always said that when a building tells a story, it makes the photographs we create inside it that much deeper. Aldie Mansion isn’t just a venue; it’s a Forge of memories. From the lived-in warmth of the wood-paneled rooms to the sprawling, ancient gardens, every inch of this property is packed with Awe
What makes Aldie Mansion so rad is the texture. I’m talking about bookshelves that have seen a century of life, staircases with real character, and walls that actually have Soul. It feels like your own private fairy tale spot, tucked away in Doylestown.
My approach here is always True to Life and Boldly Told. I’m looking for that unscripted kinetic energy – the way the light hits the brick or the quiet, high-vibe optimism as you walk through the gardens. We’re not just taking pictures; we’re preserving the soundtrack of your life against a backdrop that actually matters.
Don’t just stay in the main hall. The wood-paneled rooms and library nooks offer incredible opportunities for portraits that feel intimate and grounded. These spots are perfect for capturing that “Wild Love” energy in a sophisticated setting.
The grounds are a mix of old brick, terraces, and massive, ancient trees. This is where the Adventure happens. I love using these organic textures to frame shots that feel warm, vibrant, and earthy—never “light and airy,” but real and alive.
The massive tree outside lights up at night, and it is pure Hype. It creates a high-spirited, almost ethereal glow that’s perfect for a final set of portraits before you hit the dance floor. It’s the ultimate way to wrap up a day that’s been all about adoration and adventure.
This day would have never come together the way it did for these two if it weren’t for the awesome team behind all the details! Here is a list of the vendors who took part of the day, and a link to their website if you want to go check them out!
