A Gorgeous Winery Wedding

Madison and Casey’s wedding day was one of those days that just felt good to be part of from the start. We kicked things off with Casey and his crew, and the energy in the room was immediately high. Everyone was full of life, laughter, and clearly excited to party. That kind of vibe always sets the tone for the rest of the day and it certainly carried through!

After wrapping up with the guys, I headed over to Madison while she was getting ready with a big bridal party. There was a lot of love in that space, and it we felt! People helping, laughing, being fully present – those are always some of my favorite moments to work around because nothing feels forced. You’re just documenting what’s already happening.

Their ceremony took place in a large, historic church filled with stained glass, artwork, and beautiful old architecture. It was one of those spaces that feels timeless the second you walk in (and has a certain nostalgic smell, ha!). After the ceremony, Madison and Casey took time for private vows just the two of them. They wanted something that was theirs after doing the public part, and those moments were incredibly emotional and meaningful. It’s always an honor to be trusted with something that personal.

From there, we headed to Domaine Pterion, and honestly, the venue speaks for itself. Domaine Pterion is set in the middle of a winery and offers so much variety in such an easy-to-work-with space. Vineyard rows, rolling hills, a pond, a willow tree, and beautiful light all around. I couldn’t run out of places to shoot there if I tried.

One thing I loved about this day was how much time Madison and Casey had to actually enjoy it. We stepped away for photos when it made sense, but they weren’t pulled from their celebration all night. That’s always my goal. The wedding photos should reflect the wedding day, not take it over.

The décor was beautifully done, the staff at Domaine Pterion was amazing to work with, and the entire venue was welcoming, smooth, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Domaine Pterion is the kind of place I can’t wait to photograph again. It’s beautiful, easy, and run by people who clearly care.
