I’ve only shot at Chelsea Sun Inn once for Sharon and Kermit’s incredible day, but I have been wanting to get back here ever since! This place is a gorgeous inn with so much character and a ton of unique spots that you just don’t see at your typical Lehigh Valley wedding venue.

An Inn With Character, Light, and… Fire Breathers?

The getting ready sites at Chelsea Sun Inn are a photographer’s dream. The room Sharon used had these massive tall windows that let in a ton of natural light, and the furniture was actually tastefully chosen (which isn’t always the case lol). It makes those morning-of shots look so high-end and intentional.

The ceremony space is wild—it is this huge overlook area where they shuttle your guests up to the top. The views are incredible, but the real highlight of the night was the fire breather performance. Yeah, a literal fire breather! It’s pretty cool that Chelsea Sun Inn is flexible enough to let couples bring in that kind of unique entertainment.

Utilize the Light in the Suites!

Since the inn has such great character and big windows, the light in those rooms is perfect for that clean, authentic look. As a photographer with a candid, documentary approach, these are a dream to work in!

Prepare for the Overlook Ceremony

The shuttle ride to the ceremony site is a fun experience for guests, but make sure to factor that travel time into your timeline! Once you’re up there, the view is the star of the show, so we’ll want to make sure we have time for some “just married” portraits before heading back down.

Don’t Be Afraid to Get Creative

If Sharon and Kermit’s fire breather taught us anything, it’s that this venue is open to unique ideas. Whether it’s an unconventional performance or a specific theme, Chelsea Sun Inn has the personality to handle it. If you have a “wild” idea, this is the place to try it!
